It's business as usual in the Smokies!

As many of you may have heard, Tennessee was hit with severe weather including tornados, damaging winds, mud slides and torrential rains. On top of that, a waste treatment plant holding tank ruptured on the Spur, just outside of Gatlinburg. Not only have these events made national news, but they have made some of you uneasy about your plans to visit the Smokies.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the recent storms and to the families of the employees that perished in the incident at the treatment plant.

We wanted to go on record to set a few things straight for all of you "Spring Breakers" and Vacationers" headed our way:

  • Although our neighbors all around us have suffered damage from the storms, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge & Sevierville are all unscathed and as beautiful as ever.
  • NONE of the 3 cities use any water source affected by the spill.
We hope this information will help comfort you in knowing everything is business as usual here in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and all surrounding areas of these Great Smoky Mountains!

Please travel safely to get here, but please do still travel!

Restaurateur Geoffrey Wolpert does it in style!

If you have ever been to Downtown Gatlinburg then you have probably noticed the Park Grill Steakhouse nestled beside the Nantahala Outdoor Center on the left of the Parkway, just before you enter The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Did you notice the indigenous landscaping and majestic mountain lodge charm?

Restaurateur and owner, Geoffrey Wolpert designed the Park Grill to be reminiscent of a national park lodge. To do that he went to great lengths! All of the landscaping is done with plant species indigenous to the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.

One thing that many notice as they walk into the foyer is the enormous timbers used to build the restaurant, elegantly crisscrossing overhead in grand style. Being the environmentally conscious person that Mr. Wolpert is, these timbers were not the result of cutting live trees and harvesting them from a precious forest. In fact, the superstructure is constructed of handpicked dead standing trees that would otherwise have been a forest hazard had they not been removed.

These are just a couple of interesting facts about the Park Grill Steakhouse. To read more about our history, click here.

The weather forecast is calling for a super, sunny and warm weekend so grab your gear and head to the Smokies. While you are at it, we invite you to stop in and dine with us and create a little history of your own!

So many of you have voiced your pleasure about these winning combinations, and they have become an instant hit.

Again to your credit, your opinions have once again proven flawless as Biltmore Wines recently received "Best of Class" in 3 categories during the largest wine competition in America, not to mention a long list of other accolades!

Click here to have a look for yourself at what the rest of the world is saying about Biltmore Wines.

Dine with us this weekend and sink your teeth into a mouth-watering Filet Mignon paired with a fabulous Biltmore Cabernet Sauvignon.

"Just ate there for the 5th time. It was excellent as usual. The service was great, the salad bar is amazing. You are stuffed by the time you get your meal! The rolls are awesome. We ordered a filet and a prime rib, both were excellent, but my husband's filet was probably the best we ever had. It's worth a little extra money to get food and service this good all of the time......Suzie, Yahoo! User Reviews".

Your opinion matters!

At the Park Grill Steakhouse, we truly value your opinion. Each and every day, our staff provides comment cards for our guests to voice their opinions and provide recommendations.

Every survey completed is read and all opinions, complaints and suggestions are responded to when necessary.  We realize that when enjoying an evening of fabulous dining, the last thing you want to do is take time away from your family and friends to complete a survey. With that in mind, if you have dined with us but did not have the opportunity to complete a comment card, you can always give us your opinion online by clicking here.

Each year, we review tens of thousands of cards and use that information to make your next dining experience with us even better. In 2010, we learned that 99.1% of all guests surveyed gave their dining experience with us 5 out of 5 stars, and would recommend us to their friends and family. So now this year, we will not only continue to strive for excellence in every way, but we also have to work on that other .09%!

Park Grill Steakhouse & Biltmore Wines – The perfect pairing

We’re excited to bring you Biltmore’s special wines lovingly paired with some of our favorite entrees.

Our collection of Biltmore Wines has been inspired by a legacy of taste and style. Just as George Vanderbilt, Biltmore’s founder, transformed his guests’ visits to America’s Largest Home® into memorable occasions through his legendary hospitality, Biltmore Wines elevate ordinary meals into extraordinary dining.

Wine & Food Pairing

Smoked Shrimp & Crab Bisque and a Glass of Biltmore Chardonnay

The Bisque is as popular as this Chardonnay. Put them together and you have an inseparable match.

Prime Rib and Biltmore Merlot

The non-tannic Merlot is a great accompaniment to this perfectly seasoned and pampered prime rib.

Moonshine Chicken and Biltmore Merlot

Genuine moonshine and pineapple marinade make a wonderful pairing with this

slightly fruity Merlot.

Filet Mignon and Biltmore Cabernet Sauvignon

Nothing tells a Filet Mignon “I love you” more than a delicious bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.
